PASMAG Amplifier Reviews.

I'd say that's close enough to call it a wash. Pick the one you like the looks of :p

The PPI is almost $100 cheaper, so I have to say the PPI is a bit more impressive. Though I do agree, either one it pretty good.

Now for an amp from a manufacturer that has a long history of producing massive amounts of power but in recent years has been looked at with some apprehension.

Orion XTR3700.1D Amplifier. Orion really needs to update their site since the recent buyout, seeing as everything they currently list is either out of production or being replaced.

Overall I have to say if this is what a current Orion Class D mono amp can do I want to see what their Class A/B 2 and 4 channels can do.

You got that right, it's also something that's very inspiring to see from a brand that has seemingly been on a large downturn for the past decade.

I love the old school Orions, though never owned one myself. Let's hope these new models have good quality and no reliability issues.

It's been a while since I posted anything so...

Never really been a Memphis Audio fan but I have to say this looks like a solid amp.

A couple of pages back Fric said he'd like to see one for his Phoenix Gold Ti1600.5, sadly PASMAG hasn't reviewed it but they did review the Ti2 800.1. Let's see what kind of amp PG is putting their name on these days.

I wonder if that's the same board that's in my 1600.5. Can't imagine it would be much different.

Isn't yours the previous gen Ti? Those were hybrid Class A/B and D (channels 1-4 were Class A/B and the sub channel was Class D) so the sub section is probably the same.

That's what I'm thinking. It'd be nice to find out I'm getting 1200 watts. I need to do a clamp test.

My amp is out of the car right now. Me and my buddy are gonna try and clamp it later this week.

Yeah, I understand. Just throwing it out there, some interesting stuff in there. ;) Check out the PG M-series for one. I love those, have an M25 myself somewhere, but they're not as underrated as some might think.

I have an M25 which I recapped the power supply in, and also an M100 that needs somebody better than me to fix it :(

looks like PASMAG has gotten around to the Audio part of their title.

Here is the mono block in the Clarion XC6 line the XC6120, it's so new it's not even on clarions site yet.
