Hello All,
With the recent influx of new members and what I see as a lot of new and positive energy I have decided to do a giveaway.
With Al's approval I am giving away a new Google Smart Light Kit like this
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Google-Google-Smart-Light-Starter-Kit/1000623691

Here is a picture of the actual item.

Here are the rules for the giveaway.
1) You must be a member of Car Audio Junkies forum (duh)
2) You must post a picture in this thread of your first install
3) If you are old enough (like me) to not have pictures of your first install then you can post a Google image of your first car that had a system AND a Google image of the first amp you had in that car.
For example, you had a 1986 Chevy Camaro with a Realistic 100w amp in it. Google search a picture of an 86 Camaro and a Realistic amp, post pics of both in this thread and you are entered.
4) The contest starts NOW 10:53AM eastern on 11/2/2019 and ENDS at midnight eastern on Friday 11/8/2019. I'll pick the winner at random from the qualified entrants on Saturday and mail the winner the prize on Tuesday.

I'm looking forward to seeing some fun pictures. I'll get started.

Re: Google Smart Light Kit GIVEAWAY

I really wish I had pics of my first install. You know, just so I can hate myself even more [emoji23]

1982 Mercury LN7. My dad bought it for me new. We had a deal that if I got a good scholarship, he would get me a car.

This was powering a Boston Acoustic Pro 6.4 component set in the front. Never made it to the amp stage before the car was sold :ohwell:

My first car was a used 1976 Mustang II, similar to the one pictured, though I had it painted dark-bright teal. Mine had a white top and I put in black carpet and had the dash painted black to match. The rest of the interior was white.

The Coustic 380 was the first amp I purchased used from a friend of my brother. I had the very first Sony 10-disc changer as the source, later to be replaced with a Sony 5080 pull out CD deck. The 380 was bridged to run 2x Blaupunkt 8s. I purchased all this in 1990-91. Running highs, which were 2x Boston Acoustics 507 5x7" plates and 2x Pyle 4" sealed basket full-range, was a Majestic 100x100w running through KEF passive crossovers.

I called it the "Mutt" system, but boy did those 8s thump in a split chambered 3^3ft 3" ported enclosure! This was my humble beginning into the car audio world! I'll never forget the beaming smile I had when I listened to it for the first time! Lol!View attachment 7566

And the Winner is.......

Out of the 7 entries I labled them 1-7 and then used a random number generator to pick a winner.

That person is beak81champ

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you for making this promo at our forum, Notloudenuf! I think I'm too late to compete in this giveaway, but I am just wondering if this kit has a color changing light bulb? I am asking because I am thinking of replacing my regular bulbs inside of my car with the smart bulbs, so I will welcome any good suggestions on the color-changing light bulbs at an affordable price. Right now thinking about buying Vontos brand smart wifi bulbs, but I'm not sure if this will be the best option in my case. Thank you for your suggestions in advance!
