Treeing Walker Coon Hound. He is a pain in my ass. Way too smart in all the wrong ways.

A project that was started last year, finally completed this year :daniel:



Added a little 3D touch with the sander:



PVC pipe and conduit clamps hold everything up:



Lit up with a spotlight:

Wife always uses bows on the top of our tree, so I asked her to let me try something this year. Woke up one morning with this idea, turned out pretty sharp.



Had a scrap piece of pine leftover from some recent additions to our family room, so found a star pattern online, traced it, and used the bandsaw to cut:



Bench sander and a handheld orbital made short work of the corners, then rubbed it with Danish Oil:



Took a coat hanger, cut it, then used the small end of a Shop Vac extension wand to form the coil. Drilled a hole, and presto! Tree topper complete:

I dont give my wife an option. It helps that my kids really enjoy it too and they would throw a fit if it wasnt there.

mine's pretty much the same as last year which was the same as the year before so here's a video from 2013...

next year we hope to step it up. this has been the same setup since I initially went with this in 2010 and each year we've said we are going to add to it or change it up somehow. maybe next year we will get the time/money to do so.
