Damn. This was not the update I was hoping to see when opening the thread, glad you are physically OK, sucks to see the car end up like that.

Do you think the rotor broke, causing that wheel to lock up and pitch you off the road?

Honestly, I never imagined that as a possibility. But everyone that looked at the car and the pictures almost immediately said that's most likely what happened. Talking to a few friends with Vettes, they all think maybe one of the previous owners put too many heat cycles into the brakes with it being a Z car and possibly tracked - so maybe they were brittle? I dunno. Was scary though to be going down the road one second, and almost immediately skidding left and then facing towards the sky.
