Apicella Auto Sound Demo Vehicle - 2019 Volvo S60 R Design

Got my vote in. Top notch installer without a doubt, but he also stands out with customer support. He spent several minutes on the phone with me before ever receiving a dime. I don't know of any business owner, let alone stereo shop, that would do that. When I dropped off my car he spent time with me going over the install then showed me around the shop. I listened to his car and Kevin's car. Then when I picked up my car, he made me feel welcome, introduced me to his friends, bought me lunch and asked a former IASCA judge to listen to my car. I'd like to think Nick brought him in just for me Lol.

Thanks! Funny enough, on the "industry only" voting form, there are other sections you can vote for. One of them is best customer experience, which i don't get why they would close that off to consumers. Its not like the industry guys would know other shops customer experiences lol

And Ha! He was a judge from the 90's and was there to get a quote for an install. Nice dude. Steve Head sent him my way

figured i'd make my installer of the year submission video public since everyone else has been posting them on social media..

Ok, I know this may be a dumb question, but I ALWAYS have wondered: Do subs in the trunk impact rear deck speakers? Is there something that has to be done for them not to interfere? Even if the speakers are mounted to the rear deck, and the subs are on the package shelf under them? How would/do you mitigate that?

If you're running the subs firing forward, you could seal the subs to the bulkhead opening like you would with an IB setup, and if you were firing them rearward, you could build enclosures for the smaller speakers. I think those options would mitigate the effect the subs would have on the rear deck speakers as much as possible.

Just my $.02

Yup. Also, I dont think it has nearly as much effect on the rear speakers as one would think.

I agree. But people believe what they want to believe, and if it makes them feel better....lol

Are you going to post a thread on the Cima build since there is no SEMA (build)? lol

I saw you mentioned doing a remote radar/laser setup. The Radenso stuff is pretty good, without being in the Stinger price range. I like it ALOT better than the Escort stuff we used to do. The only problem I've seen lately is, they announced a new system coming out, so people don't want to buy one now because they're convinced it will be coming in the next 6 months (our rep says it's more like a year out, and the new Autonomous setup is going to be in the dash-mount systems first.) So, it will be a while.

I haven't had a chance to do a Stinger, but the Radenso RC-M Ultimate is pretty sweet and uses AL Priority laser shifters. If I were going to spend money on a radar/laser defense system, it's what I'd go with. My second choice from that would be K40. But I think it's been like 10 years since I got a speeding ticket (knock on wood that the trend continues).

One of the things that really turned me off to Escort was the lack of filtering in the 9500Ci (and AFAIK the 360Ci -- but we don't carry that one.) I know the 360Max doesn't for sure. a Coworker had a lot of K band triggers, and when he called Escort their response was to turn off K band "Because no one uses it anymore."

I got to demo a Radenso Pro M in my car for a week, and got pulled over for the first time in years because I was paying too much attention to the radar going nuts, showing K band. Turns out, the city I live in and 2 cities next to it use it...and probably others as well. I didn't get caught speeding, I blew through a red light. lol He let me off with a warning, even with the Pro M sitting in plain sight.

When are you going to bag it? That thing would look sick on the ground. But you could leave it at ride height for the old people (older than me, anyway, lol)

Ok everyone, last round of spam, I promise!

There are only 12 hours left in voting for the 2020 Mobile Electronics Magazine Industry Awards. If you feel we deserve a spot at the top, please take the 20 seconds to vote for Nick as Installer of the Year, and Apicella Auto Sound as Retailer of the Year!

Every bit helps, and again, this would mean a lot to us. Thank you [emoji173]

SkizeR, how would you rate the Mosconi Pro 4|10 amps? Thinking getting 2 of those, one for left side and the other for right side of the front sound stage. Any other/better options for the same price range today?
