Badass, bet you can't wait to get it back on the chassis and "test" it out on the road.

This is great to see and better to hear!
Congrats on the (pre-tuned?) numbers.![]()

This didn't even phase me. I'm just glad I caught it now vs later.Much better to replace the flywheel with the engine out of the car! Kinda fucked up that it has damage to the teeth. The starter's gear is made of a softer metal than the flywheel for a reason (easier to change than a flywheel....). I'm sure you will get it figured out. Worked too hard and come too far to let a flywheel issue jack up you plans. Deep breaths............
Nah. This happened while the engine was in the car. Ring gears are wear items. I picked up the new one today. You don't think that somebody would have been a dick and sabotaged it, do ya?

LOL...my thought exactly.Shauna, have you thought of pursuing a side job in automotive photography?
You make gnarled starter gears look interesting.![]()
Yes, I have. You never know, someone at Hot Rod or High Performance Pontiac may see these and offer me a job.Shauna, have you thought of pursuing a side job in automotive photography?
